Road Tax Rates for Two-Wheelers & Four-Wheelers in Telangana

It has been made compulsory for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers running on roads in Telangana to pay the road tax. The road tax in Telangana is determined by the Telangana Transport Department under Telangana Motor Vehicle Taxation Act. Nobody is allowed to use a vehicle in Telangana without submitting the road tax to the respective RTO. The calculation of road tax is dependent upon various factors. For two-wheelers in Telangana, the road tax is calculated on the basis of vehicle’s age and for four-wheelers in Telangana, the road tax is determined based on two factors which are price and age of the vehicle. The road tax rates for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers in Telangana are listed in the tables below:

For two-wheelers:

The road tax levied by the Telangana Government can either be paid online or offline. It is better to pay the road tax online instead of following the conventional offline method to save your time. To submit the Telangana Road Tax online, you can visit the Transport Department official website. For offline submission of road tax, Telangana (TS) transport offices can be visited by the vehicle owner.
